A Caring Alternative, LLC is a nationally accredited service provider located in Morganton, NC. We provide the following services to Alexander, Burke, Catawba, Caldwell, and McDowell Counties: Assertive Community Treatment Team, Community Support Team, Day Treatment, Intensive In-Home, Medication Management, Out Patient Therapy, and Therapeutic Foster Care. We are CARF accredited and CABHA certified.

We are currently seeking to fill several positions within the agency…

  • P/T Nurse Practitioner for Medication Management (Marion, NC)
    Seeking Nurse Practitioner with North Carolina licensure. Needed to provide medication management to consumers in varying services within the agency.
     
  • Assisted Family Living (AFL) Provider (Morganton, NC)
    Seeking unlicensed AFL for adult female in Burke County. Alternative family living provides a natural, home environment for adults with disabilities who are unable to live on their own, allowing families who have room in their homes and in their lives to provide a real home for an individual. It provides a family setting for adults with disabilities living in the community.
     
  • F/T Therapeutic Foster Care (Morganton, NC)
    Seeking Child MH QP. Assess referred consumers; develops & coordinates service plans; oversight for assigned caseload; weekly home visits; Manage, schedule, & provide service intervention to meet authorizations and monitor foster parents provision; request (re)authorization; provide pre-service/in-service training; crisis on call rotation.
     
  • F/T ACTT Licensed Substance Abuse Specialist (Morganton, NC)
    Seeking Adult MH QP w/ NC Licensure as an LCAS, CCS, CSAS to serve in ACTT program. Must have experience in providing treatment to adults with severe & persistent mental illness & substance abuse disorders. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to, performing screenings, intakes and all assessments in a timely manner, maintaining charts and all clinical documentation (treatment plans/reviews, progress/group notes and individual counseling sessions) on a daily basis, ability to perform under clinical and administrative pressure, ability to engage clients in areas of their lives including family, children and spouses and the ability to bring forth creative ideas and illicit clients thoughts and feelings.
     
  • P/T Psychiatrist (Morganton, NC)
    Must be licensed psychiatrist in NC. Must have experience with the adult mental health population. Must be available approximately 16 – 20 hours per week. Will conduct comprehensive psychiatric history, mental status for service specific clients.
     
  • Full-time IIHS Team Leader (Morganton/Marion, NC)
    Provisional or Licensure Required. Must have one year of documented experience with the child mental health population. This service includes but is not limited to crisis management, intensive case management, individual and/or family therapy and skills training in the child's natural environment to provide services to children with mental illness. Must be willing to travel within the counties served to provide services.
     
  • Full-time IIHS QP and AP (Marion, NC)
    MH Child QP status required. Must have one year of documented experience with the child mental health population. This service includes but is not limited to crisis management, intensive case management, individual and/or family therapy and skills training in the child's natural environment to provide services to children with mental illness. Must be willing to travel within the counties served to provide services.
     
  • Full-time CST Team Leader (Morganton, NC)
    Provisional or Licensure Required. Must have one year of documented experience with the adult mental health population. Service is designed to need the educational, vocational, residential, mental health, financial, social & other treatment needs of the recipient. Must be willing to travel within the counties served to provide services.
     
  • Therapeutic Foster Care Parents or those interested in becoming a TFC Parent.

 

All applicants must be deeply committed to high quality of care for the client.

Some available positions require travel on a daily basis in the local community in order to provide skill building and supportive counseling and to assist the consumer to develop critical daily living and coping skills.

All individuals must meet these additional requirements…

• Must have clean driving record and current NC driver’s license.
• Must have successful criminal background check and two satisfactory references.
