Teagan Brown

Executive Biography

Teagan Brown is a native of Burke County. She completed her undergraduate work at Appalachian State University and received a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montreat College. ​ Teagan has nearly 25 years of experience in the behavioral health field. She has extensive knowledge in intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use disorders. ​ In her current role of Chief Operations Officer with A Caring Alternative, Teagan is integral in identifying community needs and working with local Managed Care Organizations to develop and sustain essential programs vital to individuals in need. Teagan can be found in nature in her spare time, catching a sunrise or hiking with her husband, son, daughter, and fur babies in the Linville Gorge.
